This is similar to Three types of feedback from those with Veto power. But inspired by how Excellent Culture… “Where I Stand” is clear is structured.
| 🟢 (3) | Strongly Support It | I support this so much that if you slow down on it, I may take the wheel and drive it forward. |
| 🔵 (2) | Support | Support it actively, vocally, but it is not in my personal top 3. So if you slow down on it, it'll sit. |
| 🟣 (1) | Cautiously Support | I'm not sure if I support this or not and/or I'm not sure it should be in anyone's top 3 right now. |
| 🟡 (-1) | Cautiously Disagree | I'm not optimistic, BUT I'm also not ready to vocally speak my disagreement. So, I'll either be silent or ask for a response to my open question(s). |
| 🟠 (-2) | Do Not Support | I'm pretty certain this is not the path we should take. However, I'm not so certain that I'll block it. I likely have the scars to prove why this is not the path to take. |
| 🔴 (-3) | Actively Forbid / Strongly Disagree | If this is a path in which I have veto power, I'll use that veto power. If not, I'll clearly state this is a disagree and commit; and state how I'll commit to something I disagree so strongly with. |
In the spirit of transparency… if you are a manager, please tell those you serve where you stand when it comes to the decisions / paths they are taking… especially if they ask directly.
