Planting

- Plant in the fall, a month or so before first frost
- Don’t plant garlic in the same spot two years in a row to avoid disease
- When replanting, choose the biggest cloves to replant, as they’re likely to have the highest yield next season
Harvesting
- Harvest when half the leaves turn brown (though “green” garlic is delicious if you’ll eat it soon, it just won’t keep as long)
- Hang or lay out to dry/cure in a dry, airy space
