How I tend my note.garden

Use note.garden however you like, of course, but here are some tips from other gardeners I have found helpful:
- Make notes “evergreen”: take notes on things you want to remember forever or just can’t stop thinking about. Maybe start with a strongly-held opinion.
- Start small: if each note captures just one idea, concept, or opinion, it will be easier to reference, respond to, and recontextualize in other notes.
- Link liberally: the denser your network of notes, the more likely you are to find serendipitous connections.
- Consider strong titles: notes with titles that take a stand, like “Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away”, are more memorable and likely to prompt a response when you revisit them. That said, umbrella notes for general concepts like “justice“ or “ecology” can be useful too for connecting disparate ideas.
