task initiation anxiety ~ on of the (possible) symptoms of AuDHD

traits

• feeling like there is a physical barrier between oneself and starting a task (while there is none)
• feeling physical pain
• feeling paralyzed
• being anxious like starting to move is a threat
• might be the only problem in the process: after starting, everything goes easier

what affects it (positively)

1. interest (see hyperfixation or special interest)
2. urgency
3. novelty
4. challenge
5. removing barriers

2. urgency

1. being under a pressure (X_X)
2. setting a time limitation for single-direction focus
   • can be pomodoro (25 mins / 5 mins), can be literally 3 minutes
   • 🌲 use different pic-in-pic pomodoro video every time (different music / picture)
3. using this task to avoid another, more important task (X_X)

5. removing physical/digital barriers

1. cleaning the working space
2. eating/drinking if hunger/thirst заважає
3. placing distractions away physically (damn phone)
4. making a bed = not getting cozy there any time soon
