When I feel discouraged, remember that we see the world not as it is, but as we are. Ask what this discouragement can teach me about myself, the world, and my place in it. greet my demons, for they can teach me.
In conflict, curiosity can be disarming. “You’re wrong” puts people on the defensive and closes off communication. “I see things differently so I want to understand how you see them” turns conflict into collaboration.
